What is Spraoi Learning?
Spraoi Learning (spraoilearning.ie) is a free website of learning games for primary school children in Ireland. There are over 400 games for 4th, 5th and 6th Class, matched to the Irish primary curriculum (NCCA).
Is Spraoi Learning free?
Yes. Every game is free to play, with no adverts and no subscription. Optional printable packs for home and the classroom are available in the Spraoi shop from €3.99.
Do children need an account?
No. Children play straight away without an account, a name or an email address. Progress and stickers are saved only on your own device.
Which subjects are covered?
Maths, English, Gaeilge (including Matamaitic for Gaelscoileanna), science, geography, history, STEM, French, Spanish, money skills, wellbeing and brain-training games.
Which classes is it for?
Right now there are full sets of games for 4th Class and for 5th & 6th Class, with parent guides for every class from Junior Infants to 6th Class. More classes are on the way.
Is it matched to the Irish curriculum?
Yes. Every game is linked to the Primary Mathematics Curriculum (2023), the Primary Language Curriculum (2019) or the SESE curriculum, so what children practise at home matches what they learn in school.
Is it good for children with dyslexia, ADHD, autism or dyscalculia?
Yes. The Brilliant Brains section has read-aloud, bigger text, calmer colours, less movement, a focus timer and dyscalculia-friendly maths, plus printable support packs. Every game uses short rounds, clues and a positive “not yet” approach.
Can teachers use Spraoi in the classroom?
Yes. The games work on interactive whiteboards, tablets and laptops with no logins, which makes them quick to use for stations, early finishers and homework. See the For teachers page.
Is there an app?
Spraoi works as an app: open spraoilearning.ie on a phone or tablet and choose “Add to Home Screen”. There's nothing to download from an app store.
Is it safe for children?
Yes. There are no adverts, no chat, no accounts and no tracking cookies, and we collect no information about children.
